DESCRIPTION:“New Japanese class\, students to write Japanese newspaper”\nWhy not do something fun with your Japanese this summer?\nFor late intermediate students of Japanese what better way to meet other learners at your level\,  practice your Japanese\, and sharpen your writing skills than coming together to create a newspaper in Japanese! \nOver this 5 week course students will begin by reading newspaper articles and learning how they are structured before separating into small groups to begin working on their own articles. This series is offered on Tuesdays from 6:30pm-8:30pm. There is no class on August 8th\, but students will be given tasks and expected to complete them for the following week. \nWeek 1 (07/22): Structure of a newspaper\, reading newspapers in Japanese\nWeek 2 (07/29): Reading newspaper articles\, form groups\nWeek 3 (08/05): No formal class\, work with group on article\nWeek 4 (08/12): In class time to work on article\nWeek 5 (08/19): Presentation of finished newspaper \nClick here for registration \n*A course fee of $20 covers the cost of materials used during the course. Payment is due on the first day of class\, cash only please.\n**Due to the nature of the course\, participants must possess a fair knowledge of Japanese\, recommended to be equivalent to JLPT N2. Those at lower levels wishing to challenge themselves are welcome to apply with the understanding that their applications will be reviewed.
