SUMMARY:“Japanese Together” Information Sessions
DESCRIPTION:Are you interested in learning more about our year-long “Japanese Together” language courses? \nThis summer\, we will be hosting drop-in information sessions for the three levels that will be available in the 2018-2019 school year: \n・Starter Course: Japanese Together 1\n・Elementary Course: Japanese Together 2\n・Intermediate Course: Japanese Together 5 \nIf you would like to know more about how our classes are run\, or are not quite sure which level is right for you\, please join us for one or more of these information sessions! Each one will contain a general overview of our classes\, as well as sample activities to let you know what level of Japanese will be covered and what will be expected of students. \n* Please note that these information sessions are not language classes. \nInformation Sessions Schedule\nSessions will be held at the same time as the courses we are offering in September\, with the same content repeated when a level has multiple sessions. (For example\, both “Japanese Together 1” sessions will cover the same information and sample activities.) \nIn particular\, as some of our courses can be of a seemingly similar level\, if you are not sure which level is right for you\, or if you find the level of the information session you attended was too easy or too difficult\, we invite you to try out the other levels as well! \n\n\n\n\nStarter Course:\nJapanese Together 1\n\nSession 1: Thursday\, August 23rd\n1:30 pm – 2:30 pm\nSession 2: Thursday\, August 23rd\n6:30 pm – 7:30 pm\n\n\n\nElementary Course:\nJapanese Together 2\n\nSession 1: Tuesday\, July 31st\n1:30 pm – 2:30 pm\nSession 2: Tuesday\, July 31st\n6:30 pm – 7:30 pm\n\n\n\nIntermediate Course:\nJapanese Together 5\n\nSession 1: Wednesday\, August 1st\n6:00 pm – 7:00 pm\n\n\n\n\n\n* Each session is held on the same day and time as the corresponding course starting in September\, and will run for approximately 1 hour. \nWhat is “Japanese Together?”\nAt the Japan Foundation\, Toronto\, we offer term-based Japanese Together language courses using the textbook series Marugoto: Japanese Language and Culture\, which was developed by the Japan Foundation. Marugoto is a textbook based on the Japan Foundation Standard for Japanese Language Education (or “JF Standard” – for more information\, please click here).
