DESCRIPTION:FILM SCREENING of the live concert\nDuet: Chick Corea & Hiromi\n\n\nJune 26\, 6:30 PM @ JFT\nFree admission\, registration required\n\n\n\n*Attend this screening and get a chance to win a pair of tickets for the June 28 live concert !\n\n\nIn conjunction with the upcoming live Hiromi concert at the TD Toronto Jazz Festival on June 28\, we will be screening this rare gem of a piano duet recorded in 2007 at Tokyo Blue Note between legendary Chick Corea and Hiromi. \nThe masterwork of two remarkable pianists from different generations and cultures transcend all boundaries with an unforgettable mix of exuberance and passion. \nThe film will begin with a special introduction by TD Toronto Jazz Festival Artistic Director Josh Grossman. \n\n\n\n\n \n\nChic Corea is a 22-time GRAMMY winner\, prolific composer and keyboard virtuoso from the US. Many of his compositions are considered jazz standards. As a member of Miles Davis’s band in the late 1960s\, he participated in the birth of the electric jazz fusion movement. In the 1970s he formed Return to Forever.
