DESCRIPTION:Are you interested in studying Japanese but don’t know where to begin? Have you already started learning and are looking for a place to continue? \n\nOnce again our annual Japanese Study Fair is being held online so everyone in Canada can join! Japanese language schools in Ontario will be joining in to share information about their programs and answer any questions you might have. DESCRIPTION:Online Hiragana & Katakana Boot Camps\n  \nLooking for something to do this summer? \nLook no further. Join both or one of our online self-study boot camps and learn/practice the Japanese alphabets in your own time! \n \nWhat is this about? \nWhether you are a complete beginner or just want to brush up on your Hiragana and/or Katakana skills\, we invite you to join one or both of 2 course offerings: one for Hiragana\, and one for Katakana.\nThese are two structured self-study courses where you can learn and practice the Japanese alphabets using free resources\, learning apps\, and online games\, as well as exercises developed by us. \nCourse duration: From Monday August 14 to Sunday September 3* ≪ Those who finish all the tasks by September 3 will be entered into a draw to win prizes!\n* The Hiragana Boot Camp and Katakana Boot Camp both have the same duration.\n* September 3 is the recommended end date. Course content will still be available to participants for review beyond September 3. \nFeatures: \n\nFree\nCan be done by students from all levels\nHas lots of practice materials catering to different preferences\, around 5-10 minutes each\nExercises are divided into stages and are available in the form of assignments/tasks on Google Classroom\nTrack your progress\nTo be done over 21 days\, ideally for 5-10 minutes everyday\n\nRegistration Deadline: Thursday August 10 \nHow to Join: \n\nSee the orientation slides here to know what this is about.\nFill out the form below\, making sure select the course(s) you would like to join.\nSince you need a Google account to access the Classroom\, if you do not have one you can either: create a new Gmail account (instructions here)\, or\, if you would like to use your non-Gmail account\, you can follow the steps in this video to create a Google account with your existing email address.\nAfter receiving your registration\, we will add you to the Google Classroom.\n\nParticipation Requirements:\n \n\nAny adult (18 or older) in Canada who is interested in learning or practicing the Japanese alphabets\nMust have or be willing to create a Google account to be added to Google Classroom (instructions will be provided to those with non-gmail addresses)\nSome of the exercises will require the mobile apps: Hiragana Memory Hint (iOS | Android) and Katakana Memory Hint (iOS | Android)\n\nFor inquiries:  koza_jftoronto@jpf.go.jp. \n
