DESCRIPTION:  \n \n  \nFriday September 26 | 12:15 pm – 1:00 pm EDT | In Person @ The Japan Foundation\, Toronto \nHave you been thinking about learning a new language but haven’t been able to find the time? \nThe Japan Foundation\, Toronto is happy to offer a series of Japanese language and culture talks over the lunch hour! In these sessions\, we will introduce words and expressions to get you started on the path to learning Japanese! \nIf you are in the Yonge/Bloor area\, why not stop by and learn more about Japanese language and interesting cultural information? These sessions are B.Y.O.B. (“bring your own bento“)\, so please feel free to bring your lunch with you! \nThe sessions will be held on selected Fridays at 12:15 pm\, and run for approximately 45 minutes. \nUpcoming Schedule and Topics: \n\nSeptember 26\, 2025: “I Love Sushi”\nOctober 24\, 2025 (subject to change): “Mottainai Kitchen”\n\n**Please note the above sessions include video/film screenings that show scenes of raw fish preparation and insect consumption. \n  \nThe sessions are free to join but registration is required\, as space is limited to 25 participants per session. Please let us know if you will be joining us using the form below! \nPlease note that we will only accept registration on a session-by-session basis. DESCRIPTION:Japanese Chat Event\nAre you a Japanese language learner over 18 and located in Canada (or studying at one of the Japan Foundation overseas offices)? \nIn our Virtual Study Space\, we hold regular chat events where you can practice speaking Japanese with native-level volunteers and other students. \nParticipants are divided into groups of 3-5 according to their Japanese level\, where our volunteers facilitate the conversation. A topic is preassigned every week but you can also opt to do free talk.
