As detailed below\, this workshop will be a session on teaching Japanese based on the Action Oriented Approach conducted by Yoshifumi Murakami\, Japanese-language Education Advisor for Alberta Education\, dispatched by the Japan Foundation. Those working in the field of Japanese language education as well as those with an interest in Japanese language education are welcome to attend. \nFor registration (required)\, please see below. \nRegistration: mandatory \nTheme: Teaching Japanese Based on the Action Oriented Approach\nThe “Action Oriented Approach” is a method of creating lessons from the perspective of thinking on what kind of language is necessary for a certain action\, as opposed to a structural syllabus which uses the language itself as the starting point. In this workshop\, participants will list familiar actions\, make them into a curriculum\, and finally think about how it could be taught. If you have time to watch the following videos before the workshop\, they will aid in your understanding. (The videos are not a requirement of participation.)   https://goo.gl/6VE8P1 \nDate and Time: Saturday\, December 16th\, 2017\nWorkshop: 2:30pm – 5:30pm (Doors open at 2:00pm)\nMixer: 6:00pm – 8:00pm (A light meal will be served)\nLocation: The Japan Foundation\, Toronto　　Seminar Room\n2 Bloor Street East\, Suite 300\, Toronto\, Ontario\nRegistration Fee: Free\nInstructor: Yoshifumi Murakami\, Japanese-Language Education Advisor\, Alberta Education (sponsored by the Japan Foundation)\nInstructor’s Introduction:\nYoshifumi Murakami has been working as the Japan Foundation Japanese Language Specialist dispatched to Alberta Education since May 2017.
