DESCRIPTION:The Japan Foundation\, Toronto is proud to partner for the first time with the Hamilton Dialogues to present a free screening of About the Pink Sky\n preceded by the animated short Chameko’s Day (1931\, 7  minutes) \nKobayashi Keiichi’s feature debut is a fresh evocation of a high school girl’s life\, filmed with beautiful black and white cinematography. Izumi\, a high school student who enjoys fishing\, bowling and grading newspaper articles based on their level of positivity\, finds a lost wallet containing a large sum of cash. She uses it to help out  a middle-aged fishing buddy and treat her friends to lunch before she trying to find the wallet’s owner\, a wealthy high school student.
