Arts & Culture

Programs and events offered by The Japan Foundation, Toronto serve to promote a greater awareness and appreciation of art and culture from Japan. Arts and cultural activities include:

  • Arts and Cultural Exchange programs and events offered by the Japan Foundation Head Office in Japan
  • Small-scale local grants to Canadian arts organisations organising events promoting Japanese visual art, film or performing arts
  • Cultural events, such as exhibitions, screenings, readings and performances, held at our centre year round

Local Grants

Local grants may be available to non-profit organisations that are producing events involving Japanese artists, performers or filmmakers.

Exhibitions for Loan

The Japan Foundation,Toronto lends out exhibitions to Canadian arts and cultural organisations or educational institutions.
