Online Marugoto Courses: Late-Elementary (A2-2)

Our Late-Elementary course will cover the second half of the A2 level of the JF Standard. During this course students will work towards the following goals:

  • Can understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. basic personal preference, shopping, point of interest in local area, community involvement, etc.)
  • Can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters.
  • Can describe in simple terms aspects of their background, immediate environment and mattes in areas of immediate need.

For all terms, our Late-Elementary (JF Standard A2-2) course runs Tuesday evenings from 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm (Eastern Time).

Each term (Fall, Winter, Spring) costs $390. Payment is accepted only on a Term by Term basis.
Early-Bird Discount: Register and pay by March 28 and Term 3 will only cost $360!

Each of the above terms (Fall, Winter, Spring) will cover one third of the textbooks, and by completing all three terms you will finish the textbooks.

Textbooks are not included in the fees and students are expected to buy their own copies.
In Canada, physical copies of the Marugoto textbook series are available from Blue Tree Books. You can pick them up in person at the Markham, Ontario location in J-Town, or from their online store at
