To apply for a new library card or renew your expired card, please fill in our Library Card Application Form online.
Visitors to Library are no longer required to make a booking or show vaccination status. All visitors are welcome to access shelves and study space. Pick-up and drop-off services continue to be available with prior notice. To request library materials for pick-up, please email library_jftoronto@jpf.go.jp

JF Canada Digital Library
Enjoy digital items (ebooks and audiobooks) from our digital library without leaving the comfort of your home.
Members of the JFT Library can now access and instantly borrow from our selection of ebooks and audiobooks by visiting our digital library.
To log in, simply enter your library card number and PIN (last four-digits of phone number).
To apply for a new library card or renew your expired card, please fill in our Library Card Application Form online.

- After April 2023, OverDrive, Inc is discontinuing the legacy OverDrive app and transitioning users to the Libby app. If you are still using an OverDrive app, please make sure to switch to the Libby app by the end of April 2023. For details, please click here.
- Effective from February 2023, The Japan Foundation Toronto’s digital library service has been
renamed to The Japan Foundation Canada Digital Library with a newer Libby URL libbyapp.com/library/jf. Current users will be able to continue to access an old Overdrive URL; however, a newer Libby browser provide better reading experience with updated features. For details, please click here. - Effective from March 3, 2022, The Japan Foundation Toronto’s digital library service has changed its URL. Current users will be able to continue to use our digital library without disruption. For details, please click here.

The Japan Foundation Toronto Library is a public lending library for anyone interested in Japan and Japanese culture. It maintains a collection of over 20,000 Japan-related print and audiovisual materials in English, Japanese and French, emphasizing language study, art, literature, history and culture.
