Canada-Japan Literary Award

The Canada-Japan Literary Awards recognize literary excellence by Canadian writers who are writing on Japan, Japanese themes, or themes that promote mutual understanding between Japan and Canada. It also recognizes literary excellence by Canadian translators of such books from Japanese into English or French.


Japonismes 2018 – Paris will host the Japonismes 2018 cultural exposition to commemorate the 160th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between France and Japan next year. It will be held in more than 20 venues and running for about eight months, it will be one of the largest events to promote Japanese culture overseas.
