presented by The Japan Foundation, Toronto and the Consulate-General of Japan in Toronto
Bloor Hot Docs Cinema, 506 Bloor St. W.
Our annual Japanese film screenings return to the Bloor Cinema in January 2016!
This time we’re bringing you four films over the course of three weeks:
- a spectacular samurai action/comedy
- a thoughtful coming-of-age drama set on a tiny island near Okinawa
- a forestry comedy from the director of Swing Girls, Happy Flight! and Robo-G
- an indie comedy/drama about an unforgettable friendship from the director of The Woodsman and the Rain
All of our screenings are in Japanese with English subtitles, and all of them are also FREE! No reservation is required; doors open 30 minutes before the start time. The Bloor Hot Docs Cinema is conveniently located at the intersection of Bloor and Bathurst Streets, close to the TTC and many wonderful shopping and dining destinations. We look forward to watching movies with you in the new year!
