Greetings and Konnichiwa,
In the last two months, we have had the pleasure of welcoming guests back to our centre. I would like to thank everyone who cooperated with our partial re-opening procedures and helped to make our centre a safe space.
As Toronto braces for the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, out of consideration for the health and safety of our community and staff members, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily close our public space starting Tuesday, October 13.
While our in-person programming will be suspended until further notice, rest assured that our online programming will continue uninterrupted. This includes film screenings, language classes, teachers’ workshops, lectures, the JFT Book Club, and of course, updates delivered through our weekly newsletter and social media platforms. We are constantly looking for new ways to connect with our patrons virtually and to bring you new, exciting content online.
For more details about the closure and to find out what online programs are continuing, please visit https://tr.jpf.go.jp/important-message-covid-19/.
We will carefully monitor the announcements of public health agencies and inform you of any changes. Thank you for your understanding and support. We look forward to having you back.
See you soon,
Yuko Shimizu
Executive Director
