Director Momoko Ando, who drew attention at home and abroad with her debut film Kakera: A Piece of Our Life, adapts her own novel in
spired by her experiences of caring for an elderly relative. It explodes with rage at a society in which connections between people have grown thin.
One day, home helper Sawa Yamagishi (Sakura Ando) unwittingly gets caught up in a serious incident and loses her job, forcing her to move out of her company’s dormitory. Left with nowhere to live, she wanders the streets in search of old men with various predicaments, and inserts herself into their lives to become their helper, whether they like it or not…
