Ever wanted to try Japanese calligraphy (書道, “shodō”)?

Drop by JFT library and enjoy relaxed, hands-on brush writing experience! This drop-in event lets you explore calligraphy at your own pace. Participants can choose from prepared sample characters or experiment with writing their own. While no professional instructor will be present, JFT staff will offer basic guidance and insights.

No RSVP required—seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Whether you’re a complete beginner or rekindling your love for calligraphy, stop by during the library hours (11:30 am – 4:30 pm) and immerse yourself in this beautiful art form!

*Participation age: Children (around 6 years old and up) and adults are welcome to participate.
