The 47 Ronin in Ukiyo-e Prints

Carol Dorman became interested in Japanese art while pursuing graduate studies at the University of Toronto.  She has been a collector of Japanese Ukiyo-e prints for over 30 years and for the past 20 years has been associated with the Stuart Jackson Gallery, Toronto, specializing in antique Japanese prints.  Ms. Dorman has spoken about ukiyo-e on television and given lectures to various groups in Ontario and Quebec and most recently at Gargi College, University of Delhi, in India.  She has curated and been involved in print exhibitions at the Japan Foundation, the Gardiner Museum, and the Stuart Jackson Gallery, and co-authored a publication on prints of the Tokaido Road.
