Whether you’re a life-long fan of Japanese food or interested in trying it for the first time, join us at the Japan Foundation for a class looking into the language and culture behind washoku (Japanese food). In this class we will cover both Japanese words and expressions as well as the Japanese way of thinking about food and eating. And of course, everyone will get to experience Japanese food first hand as we will have bento (lunch boxes) for everyone to try!

  • Because there will be food at this event and we time to prepare, registration will close on Friday, November 6 at 5:30 PM.
  • Participants are also asked to pay the fee of $20 by Monday, November 9th at 5:30 PM to secure their spot in the class. You can bring cash or a cheque to our office (2 Bloor Street East Suite 300, the 3rd floor of the Hudson’s Bay Centre) Monday to Friday from 9:30 – 5:30, or mail a cheque (at your own risk) to:
