In-Person Japanese Conversation Night（おしゃべり会）

Are you a Japanese language learner in Toronto?

We are holding an in-person event where you can practice speaking Japanese with native-level volunteers and other students.

Participants are divided into groups of 3-5 according to their Japanese level, where our volunteers facilitate the conversation.

Thursdays April 17, 2025 | 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm EDT | In Person @ The Japan Foundation, Toronto – Event Hall | Language: Japanese

Registration Deadline: Wednesday April 16, 2025, while spots are available (Registration has closed as the event is fully booked.)

We will accept drop-ins if there are spots on the day of the event!

Participation Requirements: Basic Japanese proficiency required (should be able to have a basic conversation in Japanese)

Quota: 20 participants maximum

*Those who would like to get a library card or see our gallery exhibition should arrive before 6:30 pm.

Please note:

• The Japan Foundation, Toronto (hereinafter referred to as “the Organizer”) reserves the right to cancel the registration of any participant who engages in disruptive behavior or any sales activity during the event. Such actions may result in immediate removal from the event at the Organizer’s discretion.
• The Organizer is not responsible for any personal interactions between participants outside of the event. Participants are encouraged to manage these relationships independently.
• Photographs or videos may be taken during the event by the Organizer’s staff for promotional purposes only.
