Lecture on the Job of “Interpreter”
Friday, March 7, 6:30 PM (EST) | Online
Ms. Chieko Bond, a Canadian government-certified conference and simultaneous interpreter, will give a lecture on her work. Interpreters play a vital role in cultural exchange, but many people are also curious about their work outside of this context, as well as their current placement in North America. Ms. Bond, who has been at the forefront of the industry for many years, will talk in detail about her experience.
For those who live in Canada, a little bit of interpreting is a daily occurrence, but why not take this opportunity to learn about the professional work of interpreters who are also a bridge for cultural exchange? This event is open to everyone. We especially welcome those interested in pursuing a career as an interpreter or those who were born and raised here and speak both English and Japanese.
If you wish to attend, please register below.
*RSVP Required – This event will be exclusively livestreamed on the Japan Foundation, Toronto’s official YouTube channel.
