Japanese Tadoku Book Club にほんご多読会
Let’s enjoy reading in Japanese and talk about the book!
Saturday October 26 | 11:00 am – 12:30 pm EDT | In Person @ The Japan Foundation, Toronto – Event Hall
What is “Tadoku”?
The word “ta” (多) means “a lot” and “doku” (読) means “to read”, so “tadoku” literally means “read-a-lot”. You can read books suitable to your reading level at your own pace. Start with easy books you can enjoy without using a dictionary!
We will begin with a 15-minute guidance session on how to start tadoku. Following that, you will have 60 minutes of silent reading. Finally, you will be divided into small groups to share about the books you read, either in English or Japanese, for 20 minutes.
Registration Deadline: Thursday October 24, while spots are available
Participation Requirements: Basic Japanese proficiency required (should be able to read Hiragana and have simple conversation in Japanese/completed JF Standard A1 level)
Book List (click on level to view): Level 0 Level 1 Level 2 Level 3 Level 4
