Nengajo Workshops & Kamishibai Storytelling

Join us in the JFT Library for our annual Nengajo making workshops.
年賀状 Nengajo are Japanese New Year’s postcards.
2020 will be the year of the Japanese rat 子 nezumi. 
Don’t miss the opportunity to make your first negajo in the new Reiwa era.

 

This year, our event will also feature 紙芝居 Kamishibai, a traditional form of Japanese storytelling.
Stories will be read by the multi-talented actor, comedian and storyteller, Toshiki Mori.

An actor, storyteller, singer and writer. Toshiki was born and raised in Fukushima, Japan. He started his career as storyteller of Kamishibai  in Toronto and has been actively performing in Montreal and at various schools, libraries and cultural events throughout Toronto.

 

 

No RSVP required, but spaces for Nengajo Workshops are limited.
First come first served basis. Maximum 2 postcards per participant.
