THE CHEF OF SOUTH POLAR南極料理人

Directed by Shuichi Okitai 2009, 125 min. [Drama, Comedy]

Based on the real life experiences of a Japan Coast Guard chef for an Antarctic scientific observation team, the film depicts with humor the extreme isolation of eight men, living apart from their families in the South Pole. From French cuisine to hand-made “ramen” noodles, the meals that fill the team members’ bellies and hearts are unforgettable.
