SATO Ayako
AYAKO SATO, born in Tokyo, professor at Meiji Gakuin University, translator, President of The Canadian Literary Society of Japan, and Director of Japan PEN. Specialized in Canadian Literature and American Literature.
Her translation works include Margaret Atwood’s The Robber Bride, Alias Grace, Payback: Debt and the Shadow Side of Wealth, and The Year of the Flood as well as Tomson Highway’s Dry Lips Oughta Move to Kapuskasing.
She is a co-author of J.D. Salinger Bungaku no Kenkyu, Kebekku o shiru tame no 54 sho, and Kanada o tabi suru 37 sho.

東京生まれ。明治学院大学名誉教授・翻訳家。日本カナダ文学会会長。日本ペンクラブ常務理事。専攻：カナダ文学、アメリカ文学。
著書：『J.D.サリンジャー文学の研究』（共著）、『ケベックを知るための54章』（共著、明石書店）、『現代カナダを知るための57章』（共著、明石書店）、『カナダを旅する37章』（共著、明石書店）、他。訳書：マーガレット・アトウッド著『寝盗る女』（共訳、彩流社）、『またの名をグレイス』（岩波現代文庫）、『負債と報い―豊かさの影』（岩波書店）、『洪水の年』（岩波書店）、トムソン・ハイウェイ『ドライリップスなんてカプスケイシングに追っ払っちまえ』（而立書房）他。
