Interlibrary Loan

If you cannot visit the JFT Library in Toronto, physical library materials (books and audiovisuals) may be borrowed via interlibrary loan service through your local public library and/or your affiliated college/university library.


Information for those who want to request our materials

Search our collection

Before placing a request, kindly search on our Online Catalogue to check if your desired item is in the JFT Library collection. If you cannot locate one, feel free to contact us to confirm the item’s availability.

To Place a Request

  1. Kindly reach out to your local/affiliated library if interlibrary loan service is available. If yes, submit requests to them accordingly.
  2. Once your local/affiliated library sends us an interlibrary loan request based on your application, we will then ship the materials to your local library for you to pick up.
  3. You can borrow the materials for 6 weeks upon receipt with 1 renewal of 3 weeks if no one is waiting after you.
  4. Please return the materials to the local library by due date and they will ship them to us.

Loan information

  • Loan period: 6-week loan upon receipt, 1 renewal of 3 weeks
  • Delivery system: Canada Post (Library Shipping Tool) for any libraries in Canada (For USA and international libraries, please contact us for details)
  • Rush service is not available
  • Loan fees: Free for any libraries in Canada (For USA and international libraries, please contact us for details)
