Show An Afternoon with Bam and Kero - Sat Nov 17, 2018
Saturday November 17, 2018 was a special afternoon in the JFT library! We welcomed the creator of the beloved children’s book characters Bam and Kero, author / illustrator Yuka Shimada. The Bam and Kero series is available in Japanese, English and French. Bam and Kero books are among the most circulated items in our library collection. Yuka Shimada read three of her stories in Japanese, accompanied by English reading by Jennifer Graham from Toronto Public Library. In between stories, Mitsuyo Miyake sang interactive, bilingual children’s songs.
