Show Nengajo Workshops and Kamishibai Storytelling - Sat Nov 30, 2019
On November 30, 2019, JFT library hosted our annual Nengajo-making workshops. The year 2020 will be the year of the rat, or nezumi. Visitors enjoyed making Japanese new year’s postcards by using our homemade keshigomu stamps. Nengajo workshops alternated with Kamishibai storytelling, performed by Toshiki Mori. He read the seasonal folk tales “Hats for Jizos” and “How the Years Were Named.”
