Show Nengajo Workshops and Kamishibai Storytelling - Sat Dec 1, 2018
For the first Saturday opening in December, JFT library hosted our annual Nengajo-making workshops. The upcoming year will be the year of the boar, or inoshishi. Visitors enjoyed making Japanese new year’s postcards, learning some Japanese new year’s phrases and kanji, and using our homemade keshigomu stamps. Nengajo workshops alternated with Kamishibai storytelling, performed by Toshiki Mori. He read the seasonal folk tale “Hats for Jizos”.
