Recently, there have been some demonstrations at Bloor/Yonge, where access to our office building was restricted under police recommendation. All demonstrations ended safely. We have not heard of any demonstrations planned at this time, but please be aware of the possibility. In such a case:
- There may be an increased security presence at the building entrance (2 Bloor East) if a demonstration is planned.
- Some entrances to the ground floor may be closed. Please follow the officers’ instructions. We will provide further updates as they become available.
- Prior to entry, all visitors may be asked by building security officers what program or activity they are attending. Please let them know that you are visiting the Japan Foundation’s Library, Gallery or event.
