November 18 marked the first anniversary of my arrival in Toronto. Despite some challenges, like the minor flood that put us in a temporary office for a few weeks last winter, it has been a busy, productive and rewarding year.
On February 12th, the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre will host a “Rakugo-kai” with veteran Rakugo star Yanagiya Sankyo.
Is 2016-2017 a Year of Design at JFT? It has been on my mind to have a programming theme, a thread that connects our events and exhibitions. After all, design is something that permeates all of our lives, whether or not we give any thought to it.
