Intro to Japanese for Grades 7-12

Learn basic Japanese and develop the skills you need to continue studying on your own!

Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday July 11, 12, and 13 | Online (Zoom) |1:00 pm – 2:00 pm EDT | Introductory level

Goals:

After this 3-day mini-course, you will come out with:

• The ability to greet and use some basic Japanese vocabulary and expressions
• Cultural knowledge about Japan
• Tips to help you continue studying the language on your own

Participation Requirements: Middle/high school students in Canada in/entering grades 7-12 with little or no Japanese knowledge (ages 12-18)
*Parent/guardian permission is required for participants under 18 years of age
*you will require a camera and microphone to participate

Schedule: 

• Day 1 (Tues July 11): Learning greetings with “Erin’s Challenge! I Can Speak Japanese. Contents Library“
• Day 2 (Wed July 12): Japanese culture quiz with “Erin’s Challenge! I Can Speak Japanese. Contents Library“
• Day 3 (Thurs July 13): School vocabulary and phrases with Challenge with Erin
