This summer, the Japan Foundation, Toronto (JFT) once again has a mini-course for anyone who wants to take Japanese for a test-run: Marugoto Summer Sampler! This course places its focus on speaking, and over two weeks in July, students will gain the knowledge and skills to start talking about themselves and their world in Japanese, as well as be given the resources to continue their study of the Japanese language long after the course ends.
Course Content & Schedule:
This course runs Monday to Thursday afternoons for two weeks in July. In each class, not only will we look at the Japanese language, but also showcase Japanese culture and various Japanese resources available at the JFT and in the city at large!

・ July 20 (Thurs): Talking about your schedule / Talking about events
・ July 24 (Mon): Talking about events (continued) / Inviting friends

A new learning approach: Marugoto
This course will cover content from Marugoto: Japanese Language and Culture (Starter A1 Katsudoo Coursebook for communicative language activities) – a textbook designed by the Japan Foundation specifically for adult learners. Marugoto: Japanese Language and Culture invites learners to learn not only Japanese, but also Japanese culture alongside the language.
And if you find you enjoy learning with Marugoto, why not join us in the fall for Japanese Together?
* Please note that this course is only for adult learners.
