教科書の文型からCan-doを作って、授業を考えよう

「行動中心アプローチ」や『まるごと』『いろどり』などの教材への注目が高まっていると感じられる一方で、カナダでは文型積み上げ式の『GENKI』を使っている学校も多く、Can-doをどのように活かせるのかがわかりにくいとの意見や、研修テーマとしてCan-doの使い方とのご要望がありました。

そこで、本研修では、文型を中心とした教科書の一つの課を取り上げ、トピックと現実場面で考えられる課題遂行からCan-doを作成し、そのCan-doをもとに授業を考えるグループワークを行います。その活動を通して、Can-do活用への理解を深め、自身の授業の中でどのように課題遂行から授業をデザインできるかを考えます。

日時：2022年2月8日（火）、2月22日（火）
6:00pm ～ 7:30pm（山岳部標準時）　8:00pm ～ 9:30pm（東部標準時）
申込締切：2022年2月3日（木）

対象者：カナダ在住の日本語教師で、以下に同意される方（先着20名まで）

※2回とも受講できる人（同じペア・グループで連続して活動するため）
※事前、事後課題ができる人（ペア・グループで時間外の課題あり）
※ペアワーク、グループワーク中はカメラオンで参加できる人（聴講不可）
※作業があるため、PCで参加できる人。（スマホ、タブレットでの参加は不可）

1回目：事前アンケート結果共有、教科書のCan-doを作成・分析（グループワーク）
2回目：グループ発表ととディスカッション、振り返り

Let’s Create Can-do’s and Apply Them to Lessons

While it is felt that there is a growing interest in the “Action-Centered Approach” and teaching materials such as “Marugoto” and “Irodori”, there are many schools in Canada that use “GENKI”, which relies on a sentence building system.

In this training, participants will take up a lesson from a textbook that focuses on sentence patterns, create Can-do’s based on the topic and tasks accomplished that can be considered in a real-life situation, and work with group members to think about the lesson based on the Can-do’s. Through this activity, participants will deepen their understanding of the use of Can-do’s and think about how they can design their own classes based on task accomplishments.

Application Deadline: Thursday, February 3, 2022

Target participants: Japanese teachers living in Canada (maximum 20 participants) who meet the following requirements:

* able to attend both zoom sessions (because the same pair or group will continue to work together)
* able to complete pre- and post-tasks (need to work in pairs or with the group before or after the zoom sessions)
* able to participate with a camera on (just observing, or listening only with the camera off is not permitted)
* able to participate using a desktop/laptop (smartphones/tablets are not permitted)

1st session: Sharing the results of the registration questionnaire, group work of making and analysing Can-do’s
2nd session: Sharing Can-do’s and the lesson plans, discussion, overall review
